Liang serves as the deputy director of Division of Global Cooperation and Exchange at SJTU. Her role includes developing strategic institutional partnerships with overseas universities, designing and implementing pilot international engagement projects such as the SDG July Camp, COIL, professional training dialogues and workshops and etc. Apart from being the senior leader for SJTU at U21, she also looks after SJTU's engagement with APRU.
