Tianyige Museum visit

Tianyige Museum, also known as the "Book City in South China," is situated on the bank of Moon Lake in the west of Ningbo City. It is a theme museum that showcases book-collecting culture with a combination of history and arts. Originally built as a private library by Fan Qin during the Ming Dynasty, it is one of the oldest private libraries in China and among the oldest worldwide. The museum holds national significance as it belongs to various National
Protection Units such as Culture Relics, Ancient Books, and more.

Transport options

Delegates participating in the partner day visit to the University of Nottingham, Ningbo Campus are advised to arrive in Ningbo on the evening of Sunday 20 October.

Travel will be provided for those participating in the partner day visit to Shanghai, departing Ningbo on the morning of Tuesday 22 October.

Ningbo Lishe International Airport (NGB) is a major gateway to the city, providing convenient access for international and domestic travellers.
Delegates arriving in Shanghai can take a high-speed train to Ningbo taking approximately 2hours.
Delegates travelling from Shanghai may also choose to take a taxi, typically taking around 3-4 hours and costing approximately GBP £100
