Kibbie Naidoo is Director for the Centre for Academic Staff Development (CASD). She, together with her team, leads academic staff and tutor development initiatives which includes facilitating induction programmes for new academic staff and newly appointed Head of Departments and facilitating an accredited tutor development programme for new, experienced and senior tutors. In addition, the Centre offers a formal postgraduate diploma in higher education for academic staff. CASD also facilitates departmental and faculty workshops on various topics relating to teaching and learning and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Kibbie also leads a national collaborative programme for the development of teaching and learning leaders in the higher education sector in South Africa.
