Prior to his current appointment as Associate Vice Provost for the Center for Career Development at the University of Connecticut, Jim Lowe served as Assistant Dean at UConn's School of Business. Before joining UConn, he held a variety of senior executive positions in the corporate sector.

Lowe is a NACE Board Member and serves as the U21 Employability chair. He also served on the NACE University Engagement Committee and was the chair of the EACE Pre-Conference Committee.

Lowe earned his degree from Fairfield University, is a Certified Career Management Professional and is certified in multiple assessment methodologies.
