Professor Gregor Kennedy has undertaken a range of senior leadership roles prior to taking on the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) including Pro Vice-Chancellor, (Teaching and Learning), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Educational Innovation), and Director of eLearning.

After completing his doctoral studies in Psychology, and teaching in that area for a number of years, Professor Kennedy was appointed as a lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. This role was focused on innovation and the use of technology in medical education, and during his time in the Faculty Professor Kennedy developed a deep and enduring commitment to student learning and effective teaching. He has designed many courses, modules and online programs, particularly in health science education, and for many years combined his research expertise with his educational practice.
